Vanzy

Vanzy is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Vanzy is located on 406 m above sea level. M., about 25 km northwest of the town of Annecy (air line). The farming village extends a scenic location on a sloping to the south ridge above the mouth of Ruisseau de Marsin in the Usses, southwest of the Montagne de Vuache, in Genevois.

The area of ​​5.57 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the western Genevois. History

The territory of Vanzy was already inhabited during the Roman period, which could be detected based on the remains of a Roman building.
