Veľký Grob

Velky Grob ( until 1948 slovak " Německy coarse " - until 1927 " Uherský rough " or " coarse Maďarský "; German German - Eisgrub, Hungarian Magyargurab - to 1907 Németgurab ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location

It lies in the Danubian Lowland, 9 km from Senec away.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1275 as Gwrb.

The village has two churches: from a Catholic chapel converted to 1771 and evangelical from the year 1936.
