Vernířovice

Vernirovice ( German Wermsdorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers north-east of Šumperk and belongs to Okres Šumperk. The community is a member of the Association of Municipalities Svazek obcí 's Valley Desne.

Geography

The village is located in the southwest of the Altvater mountains in the valley of the river and its tributary Merta Kamenný Potok ( Krüll Bach). To the north, the Rudná hora raise ( Erzberg, 914 m), the Mravenečník ( ants Hubel and Brünnlberg, 1342 m), Vřesník ( Wide Ridge, 1342 m), in the northeast of Velky Maj ( Maiberg 1385 m), Jelení hřbet ( Deer Crest 1367 m) and Břidličná hora (slate heath, 1358 m). Also to the northeast is the pumped storage plant Dlouhe Stráně.

Neighboring towns are Sedmidvory in the north, Klepáčov to the southeast, and Rudoltice Sobotín in the south, Štětínov and Terezín in the southwest, Ludvíkov, Velké Losiny and Maršíkov in the west and Filipová in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1558. At that time, was to rule the United Ullersdorf associated desolate village. Twenty years later, the Lords of Zierotin prompted the re-colonization of the mountain resort. In the vicinity of Wermsdorf hematite was mined, which was processed in the Zöptauer ironworks.

In 1785 a paper mill was built. After the abolition of patrimonial Wermsdorf / Teplice formed in 1850 with the districts Schwager village, seven houses, mountain freedom and sense tip a municipality in the district of Moravian Schönberg and judicial district Wiesberg. At the end of the 19th century next to Teplice Teplice Šumberská and the present name was first Vernirovice use. In 1921 he became the official Czech name. 1930 lived 964 people in Wermsdorf. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 the community was annexed by the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district Moravian Schönberg. 1939 the community had 861 inhabitants. After the Second World War was the expulsion of the German inhabitants. In the 1950s, the abandoned paper mill burned down. 1975 Vernirovice was incorporated into Sobotín. Since 1994, the community is again.
