Veronika Bilgeri

Veronika Bilgeri ( born January 25, 1966) is a former German luger.

Veronika Bilgeri from Gaißach was the most successful West German luger in the second half of the 1980s. From 1986 to 1988 she was the West German champion three times in a row. The highlight of the career was the year 1988. At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 Bilgeri missed behind Steffi Martin, Ute Oberhoffner and Cerstin Schmidt as fourth-placed for a place a medal. In the 1988 European luge in Koenigssee, she won the silver medal as runner-up behind Oberhoffner. In addition, she won the inaugural team event together with Georg Hackl, John Schettel, Kerstin long head, Thomas Schwab and Wolfgang Staudinger.
