Vesna Pisarović

Vesna Pisarović ( born April 9, 1978 in Brčko, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Croatian singer and composer. Biography

Vesna Pisarović was born in 1978 in Brcko (Bosnia and Herzegovina). When she was three years old, she moved with her parents to Požega (Croatia). After Vesna had finished high school successfully, she studied philosophy at the University of Zagreb and was a high school teacher for Croatian language and phonetics. She now lives in Berlin.

Musical career

Her singing debut was at the age of 19 years. On the Zagrebfestival it claimed the title since zNAS, a cover of Laura Pausinis title. After that was followed by several appearances, and their debut album Da zNAS, which was awarded silver. Their second album " Za tebe stvorena " even went gold. The single Jutro donosi kraj became the summer hit of 2001 in Croatia.

2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005, she participated in the Croatian Trials for Euro Vision Song Contest, the so-called Dora part. She reached in 2000 with their title Yes čekam noć the 6th Place. Your title a year later Za tebe stvorena reached the 4th place.

2002 Vesna won the Croatian preliminary decision and took as part of the country at the Euro Vision Song Contest. In the Croatian Trials Dora she sang her song still in the national language ( Sasvim sigurna ), the international competition in English Everything I want. Vesna came eleventh.

In the same year, she also brought her third album Kao da ever vrijeme out which was their debut album in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. The album also received gold in Croatia. After this album ended the hitherto successful cooperation between Vesna Pisarović and their producer and composer Milana Vlaović.

After their fourth album Pjesma mi je sve, from which especially the song Ljubomora a big hit, she published in 2003 two different versions of a " Best of " album. In Croatia, a version with 12 songs was released, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the countries in which the singer with her ​​third studio album made ​​its debut, a "Best Of " album with 18 songs appeared.

The end of 2005 was followed by the fifth studio album titled V. Peti. For this album the first time they not only wrote all the songs himself, Pisarovic also experimented with different styles such as Pop alongside electro sound, jazz, folk and rock.

A total of eight very different songs were released for the promotion of this album.

In recent years, Vesna wrote several songs for himself and other artists. So they wrote the BiH contribution to the Euro Vision Song Contest 2004 in the Disco, which was interpreted by Deen. In 2006, the festival Pisarović Zlatne Žice Slavonije in Požega with her new title imam sve, al ' tebe ne part, which is # 1 on the Top 10 Croatia secured. Their album With Suspicious Minds (2012), where the jazz and improvisational musicians Gerhard Gschlößl, Clayton Thomas and Steve Heather are involved, is an experimental encounter with titles of Elvis Presley.
