Vidiná
Vidiná ( Angsleah German, Hungarian Videfalva ) is a municipality in the south of Slovakia with 1857 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). It belongs to Okres Lučenec, kraj a circle of Banskobystrický.
Geography
The municipality is located in the pelvis Lučenská kotlina ( part of the larger Juhoslovenská kotlina ) by the stream Krivánsky creek. The center is located at an altitude of 199 m nm and is located four kilometers from Lučenec.
History
Vidiná was first mentioned in 1335 as Vydafalua writing. In the 15th century there was a small Hussite fortress here. The population engaged in agriculture, viticulture and pottery. 1740 burned down the whole village. 1828 are listed 68 houses and 678 inhabitants.
1971-1990 was the site of a district of Lučenec.
