Viktor Gavrikov

Viktor Gavrikov ( born July 29, 1957 in Criuleni ) is a Lithuanian chess player who played between 1993 and 1997 for the Swiss Chess Federation.

In 1969, Viktor Gavrikov learned the game of chess. In 1984 he became a grandmaster title. In 1985, he was tied for first in the Soviet Championship. In the same year followed by the 4th - 5th Place in the Interzonal in Tunis. 1988 Gavrikov vice-world champion in chess in Mazatlan. In 1989 he won in a tournament in West Berlin. The tournament in Biel he won in 1990 and 1994. In 1991 he won in Geneva. He finally became Swiss champion in Arosa 1996.

His current Elo rating is 2514 (as of July 2011), so it is on the fifth place in the Lithuanian Elo ranking.
