Villoria (Laviana)

Villoria is one of the nine parroquias in the community Laviana the autonomous community of Asturias in Spain.

Geography

Villoria is a Parroquia with 1079 inhabitants ( 2011) and an area of 30.9 km ². It is 340 msnm. Villoria is 4 km from Pola de Laviana, the main town of the municipality of Laviana.

Waters in the Parroquia

The Salencia Rio Salencia opens near Villoria in the Rio Villoria, which empties into the Rio Nalon.

Mountains

The Alto de la Collaona (850 msnm ) is the largest survey of the Parroquia, Peña Mea, 1560 msnm is that of the entire community.

Economy

Since time immemorial coal and iron is mined in the region, still builds the tourism industry on it. The Agriculture, Forestry characterizes the region since time immemorial. Trade and crafts will take place in mid-sized companies übwerwiegend.

Pleasantly mild summers with mild also, rarely severe winters. In the highlands of the winters can be quite severe.
