Vištuk

Vištuk ( German Wischtu [c ] k or Wipes calibration, Hungarian Kárpáthalas - to 1907 Vištuk ) is a municipality in Bratislavskı Region in western Slovakia.

Geography

The place is located in the Danube lowland am Bach Vištucký creek and is 8 km away from Modra and 20 km from Trnava. In the village there is a small reservoir ( Vodná nádrž Vištuk ).

History

The village was first mentioned in 1244 as Vischa and belonged to the estate of Castle Red Stone.
