Voicst

Voicst is an indie rock band from Amsterdam. The name comes from the discovery of the Nepalese yaks, who named his first animal " Voicst ".

History

As a student band started in 1994, the band came back together in 2001. After about a year samples in a basement room without playing a gig in the meantime, started career in 2002 with a concert at the Winston in Amsterdam. Then they were invited, among others, as support for Millionaire.

Their first EP Eat the Evidence EP Voicst published on the independent label Labelman.

In 2004, she published her first album 11-11. It was recorded in the private studio of James Iha ( Smashing Pumpkins ). It was produced by Eli Janney ( Girls Against Boys).

The second single from the album Whatever You Want From Life can be heard in a Heineken commercial, in the American television series One Tree Hill and in the video game 2006 FIFA World Cup.

In early 2007 Voicst returned to the studio for their second album, A Tale of Two Devils. They worked together (producer of Interpol and The National) with Peter Katis.

In 2011 she produced exclusively for the launch campaign of the BMW F20 the song Glow.
