Volmerange-lès-Boulay

Volmerange- lès- Boulay ( German: Volmer Ingen ) is a commune of 570 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

History

The site was first documented in 1147 as Wolmeringa. Neighboring municipalities are Hinckange in the north, Helstroff the southeast and Condé -Northen in the West. The railway line Kurzel - Téterchen, which was opened on 15 June 1873 had a breakpoint south of the community core. The line was shut down and dismantled in 1944 after it was badly damaged by war damage.
