Všetaty (Mělník District)

Všetaty ( German Wschetat ) is a stain and railway junction in central Bohemia, near the Elbe.

Geography

Všetaty has 2,026 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2006), and is part of the Okres Melnik. It belongs to the administrative community Neratovice and is located on the left side of the river Košátecký creek in Polabí, the Central Bohemian Elbe lowlands. To the southeast, the ridge extends Cecemina (238 m nm) with the community Dřísy at which the oldest wine-growing region of Bohemia was.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from 1223rd Since 2006 the place has the status of Městys again.
