Walidrogi

Schulenburg Polish: Walidrogi is a place in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Tarnów ( Tarnów Opolski ) in the powiat Opolski in the Opole Voivodeship.

History

The colony Schulenburg was founded in 1773 in the wake of colonization Frederician - Silesia 1742 fell to Prussia. Namesake for the new settlement was the then Prussian Minister of Schulenburg. With the work on the first houses of the Royal Waldbeschauers Burich was begun in the first year of the colony headed. 1774/75 were settled 20 colonists, of which nine out of the Duchy of hunters village, four from Bohemia, Moravia, and two from a came from Nuremberg. The construction of the barns were only completed in 1778.

1861 were counted in Schulenburg 134 Catholic, 93 Protestant and Jewish residents 6. The Catholic school in the village was established in 1825 and visited by both Catholic and Protestant children confession.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 142 voters voted to remain in Germany and 8 for Poland. As the entire voting district Opole remained Schulenburg with the German Reich.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Walidrogi. In 1950, the town is part of the Opole Voivodeship and 1999 of the powiat Opolski.

On 15 February 2007 was introduced in the municipality of German as a second official language. On 14 April 2008, the site received the additional official German names Schulenburg.
