Waratah - Wynyard is located in the northwest of the Tasmanian island about 250 km north- west of the capital Hobart. The area includes 30 districts and towns: Boat Harbour, Boat Harbour Beach, Calder, Doctors Rocks, Elliott, South Elliott Flowerdale, Guildford, Henrietta, Lapoinya, Luina, Meunna, Milabena, Moores Plains, Moorleah, Myalla, Oldina, Oonah, Parrawe, Savage River, Sisters Beach, Sisters Creek, Somerset, Table Cape, Takone, West Takone, Waratah, Woodlands, Wynyard and Yolla. The headquarters of the Council is located in the town of Wynyard on the north coast, where about 5700 inhabitants.
Management
The Waratah - Wynyard Council has ten members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor eight are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Waratah - Wynyard is not divided into districts.
