Wasdale is a valley and civil parish in the Lake District, Cumbria, England. The Wasdale valley shall be filled for the most part from Wast Water lake. The small mountain lakes (Tarn ) Greendale Tarn, Tarn and Low Scoat Tarn lie in the slopes on the north side of the valley.

The River Irt and tributaries of Wast Water, as the Lingmell Beck and the Mosedale Beck, flowing through the valley.

The valley is bounded on the north by Seatallan, the Haycock, Scoat Fell, Red Pike, Yewbarrow, Pillar and Kirk Fell and Great Gable.

In the south of Great End, Ill Crag, Scafell Pike, and Whin Rigg Head Illgill delimit the Eskdale valley of Wasdale.

The Sty Head Pass connects Borrowdale and Eskdale and Wasdale with Great Langdale.

The hamlet of Wasdale Head and Nether Wasdale Wasdale lie.
