Geography
White village is situated on the northern edge of the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park an der Saale, approximately three kilometers east of the city Munchberg and about 18 kilometers south of the city of Hof (Saale ).

History
The first mention of white village dated to the year 1364. 's Family Sparneck was one of their family castles and the Weissendorfer moated castle and the castle Uprode.
The former Office of the Prussian principality of Bayreuth since 1792 coincided with this in the Peace of Tilsit in 1807 to France and came to Bavaria in 1810. The Barons of Podewils had there at that time a manor.
Incorporations
In 1938, the neighboring municipality bug has been resolved and, like Oppen Roth and Wulmersreuth ( this from the community Markersreuth ) incorporated into the municipality white village.
