White Cliffs, New South Wales

White Cliffs is a small community in New South Wales in Australia in the Central Darling Shire, with 119 inhabitants, which was established only because of its Opalfunde in the outback. The town is located 93 km north of Wilcannia and 286 kilometers north-east of Broken Hill. Sydney is 1051 km away.

The town was founded at the end of the 19th century, when hunters in the area of White Cliffs randomly found opals.
