Wila is a municipality in the district of Pfäffikon of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland.

Geography
Wila is located in Tösstal between the municipalities and Turbenthal Bauma. In the east, the municipality bordering the canton of Thurgau and in the west on the community Wildenberg. Hamlets in the vicinity of Wila: Schalchen (SW), Tablat (SO), Aegetswil (O), Au (S) and Sitzenberg (NO). The Agriculture serve 38.3 % of the municipality, 51 % is forest, inhabited is 6.4% and 2.9 % is used for transport.
History
During archaeological excavations at the church renovation of 1978-1980 were uncovered traces of a wooden church from the 7th to the 8th century. The first written mention is found in a control toboggan of the diocese of Constance in the year 1275th
Economy
Nationally known was the black blasting technology AG. She was inseparably linked with the name of the founder and owner Günter Schwarz and went bankrupt in 2005. The successor is called Black explosive and Cliff Building AG.
Public transportation
The S 26 Winterthur HB - Bauma - Rüti the Zurich S-Bahn rail link in the breakpoint Wila. In addition, there is a post bus line to Sitzenberg, Schmidrüti and wild mountain.
Policy
Municipality president until the end of September 2013 Monika Kradolfer (independent). Until the next re-election for the municipal authorities in March 2014, the municipal council is presided over by an interim Felix Moser.
