World Lacrosse Championship

The Lacrosse World Championships ( WLC ) are among the men of the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL ) and organized with the ladies of the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations ( IFWLA ). Every four years, will take the respective World Cup - the championship of the ladies always one year before the championship of men. Since the start of the tournament managed the men's team of the United States to become world champion nine times; twice managed to Canada. The ladies, however, is a relatively balanced competition for the title between the U.S., Australia, Canada and England, where the U.S. is the top. The men's World Cup 2010 saw a sharp stake of 30 countries, the Women's World Cup 2009, a participation of 16 countries - in both cases, the highest participation rate in the history of lacrosse world championships.
