Wormeldange

Wormeldingen ( Luxembourgish Wormer or Wuermeldeng, French Wormeldange ) is a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the canton Grevenmacher. It lies on the Moselle, and is connected with the German town of Wincheringen on the opposite bank by a road bridge.

History

The history of the community Wormeldingen begins with the court Lenningen. Lord of the court was the Trier cathedral chapter. Regular events

  • The Wäifest to Ohn will be held on the first weekend in July and attracts thousands of wine lovers in the idyllic Moselle village. In this village fete, the local wineries offer their wines for tasting and for sale. Artisans have their stalls, further occur many music choirs.
