Württemberg T 3

The steam locomotives series T 3 of the Royal Württemberg State Railways were trailing axle loose Güterzugtenderloks with three driving axles. All 110 copies were built for the Deutsche Reichsbahn and were taken there as a series 89.3-4 in the numbering plan. Until 1945 nearly all locomotives of this series were retired or sold to industrial companies.

A total of three locomotives were saved from the scrap yard, one of which is worked operative at the time when the Society for the Preservation of rail vehicles.

The T 3 L of the Royal Württemberg State Railways were trailing axle loose freight train tender locomotives with three driving axles. Four copies were built, one of which came to the Deutsche Reichsbahn and was taken there as a 89 411 within the range 89.3-4 in the numbering plan.

The four special had a steerable axle and were slightly longer than the other Württemberg T 3 However, the machines used on routes from Schiltach to Schramberg and from Waldenburg to Künzelsau had very high maintenance costs, so three Württemberg by the Royal State Railways retired were. Thus came only with a copy Reichsbahn, which they, however, also quickly took from the service.
