Yasuji Miyazaki

Miyazaki Yasuji (Japanese宫 崎 康 二; * October 15, 1916 in Kosai, Shizuoka Prefecture, † 30 December 1989) was a Japanese swimmer.

He was the youngest swimmer ever to win gold on the 100m freestyle at the Olympic Games. At just 15, he was at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Olympic champion. With the Japanese season he also won more than 4 × 200 m freestyle gold. In the semifinals, the 100m freestyle he broke through with his world record as the first float through the sound barrier of 58 seconds.

In 1981 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
