Yelena Arzhakova

Yelena Vladimirovna Arschakowa (Russian: Елена Владимировна Аржакова; born September 8, 1989 in Barnaul ) is a Russian middle distance runner.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships 2011 in Paris Arschakowa won with a time of 4:13,78 min gold over the distance of 1500 meters, in front of Spaniard Nuria Fernández. In the same year she reached at the European U23 Championships in Ostrava both over the distance of 800 meters with a time of 1:59,41 min, as well as over 1500 meters with 4:20,55 min the first rank. In March 2012, she finished in seventh place at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul. Three and a half months later, she became European champion in the 800 meters in 1:58,51 minutes at the European Championships in Helsinki.

2013 Arschakowa has been blocked due to abnormal hemoglobin values ​​in their biological passport for two years and retroactively canceled all results since July 12, 2011.
