Yılmaz Şen

Şen Yılmaz ( born January 1, 1943 in Istanbul, † 1996) was a Turkish football player. Through his many years of service for Fenerbahce he is very associated with this clubs. From fan - club sides and he is regarded as one of the major players in the club's history. With 213 Erstligaeinsätzen for Fenerbahçe he is the player with the zwölfthäufigsten Süper Lig inserts the club's history. In addition, he took over in phases, the task of the team captain. Playing career

Şen began with the club football in the youth from Istanbul amateur club Yaylaspor. He was then taken up later in the squad of 1st team. From here he moved in 1962 to the first division Istanbulspor. In the summer of 1963, he was received by the head coach Erdoğan Tokol in the professional squad and was in de Party from September 1, 1963 against Kasımpaşa Istanbul his professional debut. Şen completed this season almost all mandatory games of his team. The following season Fenerbahçe failed to defend the title. The only bright spots 1972/73, the Prime Minister Cup and the Presidents Cup players could be won in the season. It was not until the season of 1973/74 was his team back to its former strength. Thus was brought into this season with the championship and the cup for the second time in club history, the Turkish Double. Moreover, it was won before the season even the TSYD - Istanbul Cup. Şen was with Alpaslan Eratlı one of the most important defensive player of his team. But he had to pause in some games due to injury or disabled. In the next season, the title defense succeeded in the championship. In the 1975/76 season Şen lost, mostly due to injury but also because of a match suspension, his place and completed on the season 14 of the possible 30 league games. Although his team won the pre-season TSYD - Istanbul Cup, but the second title defense was missed again in a row.

In the summer of 1976, he declared the end of his career. To this end, he organized only a farewell game in which Fenerbahçe should take on arch-rivals Besiktas Istanbul. This final game was canceled a few days before the scheduled date after the Fenerbahçe board had refused to let their team play against Beşiktaş. Instead, it was organized for the August 31, 1976, a temporary farewell match against Bursaspor. Finally Şen was this encounter with his departure from the football stage.

National

During his time at Istanbulspor Şen was nominated in the cadre of Turkish U-21 national team and announced on May 20, 1964 against the English U- 21 team to be U-21 international debut. In the same year he played two more times for the U- 21 team in Turkey before he. Well as in the focus of the coaching staff of the Turkish national team So it was the first time in the squad of the Turkish national team as part of a their scheduled September 27, 1964 Test match against the Polish national team by then- coach Cihat Arman. Şen died in 1996 in unknown circumstances.
