Youth Brigade (band)

Youth Brigade is an influential punk rock / melodic hardcore band from Hollywood, California / USA.

History

The band was founded by brothers Mark, Adam, and Shawn Stern, 1980 in California. All three visited and joined the Beverly Hills High School in the same- place in California from. The band broke up and reformed several times, so again in 2006 when she again played several concerts in California.

Youth Brigade took on a few albums, but influenced the founder of the Better Youth Organization ( BYO ), an indie label or a booking agency, punk sustainable.

Youth Brigades first and most influential album Sound and Fury was published in 1983 by BYO. Several tracks on the album, including We'll Sink with California or What Will the Revolution Change were a self- reflective critique of the punk movement. From this panel, there are two different versions, with the former, rare plate contains other pieces than the second. The second version is today also known by the name Sink With California as a CD. The first edition is available as Out Of Print on CD. Johnny " 2 Bags " Wickersham, then a member of the Youth Brigade is now the guitarist for Social Distortion. The brothers Marc and Adam played the beginning of the 90s in the Neoswing band Royal Crown Revue.

Style

The sound was initially comparable to the hardcore punk, but was subsequently quiet, melodic and harmonic. The band coined the liabilities arising from Melodic Hardcore / Hardcore Punk the West Coast skate punk. Green light with the band will be described as follows:
