Yusuf Şimşek (2009)
Yusuf Şimşek ( born July 20, 1975 in Elmalı, Antalya Province ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.
Playing career
Association
Yusuf Şimşek began his professional career at Kemerspor. In the season 1996/97 he moved to Denizlispor. There he played four good years. In the summer of 2000, he became a great talent to Fenerbahce. Until the winter break of the season 2003/ 04 he wore the jersey of the blue - yellow. However, Yusuf could there not become a regular player. In this winter break Fenerbahçe gave the midfielder to Gaziantepspor. After his return from Gaziantep Şimşek Fenerbahçe finally left and went to the Turkish capital to Ankaraspor.
His stay at Ankaraspor was not of long duration; after only six months changed Yusuf Şimşek again the club and was a new player at Akçaabat Sebatspor. For the season 2005/ 06 he left Sebatspor and played back at Denizlispor hunting for goals. Şimşek was the team captain and leading scorer of the season 2007/08.
Şimşek changed at the beginning of the 2008 /09 to Bursaspor. During the winter break, he left again Bursaspor and hired at Beşiktaş Istanbul.
After two years in Istanbul was staggered Şimşek the second division Kayseri Erciyesspor. From this club he left already for the end of the season and hired in the dual role of player-coach at third division Turgutluspor.
National
Through his consistent performances at Denizlispor, the midfielder has been nominated for the international matches against Norway and Bosnia- Herzegovina from Turkey. In the match against Norway, he came on in the second half and made its debut.
He completed a total of six caps for Turkey.
Coaching career
His first experience as a coach, he made the dual function player-coach at third division Turgutluspor. With this club he made it to the playoffs the second TFF Lig and retired here. Then he left Turgutluspor.
In summer 2012, he took over his former club and current second division Denizlispor the post of head coach. The setting at Denizlispor was later revised by the club president Yurdal Duman and presented as media duck.
For the second half of the season 2012/13 he was introduced to the second division Çaykur Rizespor as an assistant coach and assisted his former head coach Mustafa Denizli. At season's end was Rizespor runners- TFF 1 Lig and rose to the Süper Lig. After Denizli could not agree with Rizespor about further cooperation, he left and thus Şimşek the club.
Beginning of October 2013 he was presented to the second division club Denizlispor as head coach. Since Şimşek does not have the necessary coaching license, the association filed an additional the trainers Ümit Turmus. This has officially worked as a head coach and unofficial acts as a Technical Coordinator. After only 75 days in office Şimşek left the club. He explained his disagreement with the Board, whereby the players ' salaries were not paid on time.
In January 2014 Şimşek took over the second division Karşıyaka SK.
