Yves Angelo

Yves Angelo (born 22 January 1956 in France ) is a French cameraman, director and screenwriter.

Life

Yves Angelo studied at the film school École Louis Lumière, where in 1975 he graduated. In the late 1970s, he gained practical experience as a camera assistant on films such as Jeanne Moreau's girlhood (L' Adolescente, 1979), Bertrand Tavernier's A Sunday in the Country ( Un dimanche à la campagne, 1984) and Bruno Nuyttens Camille Claudel (1988). 1990 Angelo was the first time in the César for Best Cinematography for the film Nocturnal India ( Nocturne indien, 1989). Two years later he won the French Film Award for the seventh string ( Tous les matins du monde, 1991) again. In 1994 Claude Berri's Germinal for (1993 ), the third César, which could win next Thierry Arbogast and Philippe Rousselot a César Award in the category of Best Cinematography most common Angelo. In the same year he delivered with the Balzac adaptation The Resurrection of Colonel Chabert (Le Colonel Chabert ) with Gérard Depardieu and Fanny Ardant his directorial debut, for which he also wrote the screenplay. For the film, he received a César Award nomination for Best debut and the Golden Pyramid at Cairo International Film Festival.

His film Voleur de vie, in 1998 the competition for the Golden Lion at the International Film Festival in Venice in part. He is also active as a cameraman, as such, very frequently, directed by Alain Corneau, for which he claimed Nocturnal India and the seventh string also with awe and trembling ( stupeur et tremblements, 2003), words in blue (Les Mots bleus 2005) and Le deuxième souffle (2007) set the scene.
