Zborov (Å umperk District)

Zborov ( German Zborow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north-west of Zábřeh and belongs to Okres Šumperk.

Geography

Zborov is located at the northern foot of the mountain Háječek (603 m) in the Drozdovská Highlands ( Drosenauer Bergland ). The village is situated in the natural park Březná. To the north rises the Rozsocha (518 m).

Neighbor sites are Na Horách Bušín and Olšany in the north, Klášterec and Bohutín in the northeast, Bludov and Vyšehoří in the east, Postřelmůvek and Rovensko the southeast, Svébohov and Na Dole in the south, Jedlí the southwest, Na kluci in the west and Horni Studénky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Zborov took place in 1464, when the Tunkl of Brníčko the village acquired together with other places of the rule and the rule Schildberg High City slammed. In hooves register of 1677 are reported for ten Zborov estate, one of which was desolate. Since 1820 was taught in Zborov in the branch school. 1834 was the village of 69 houses and 453 inhabitants had. Until the mid-19th century Zborov always remained subservient to the High City.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zborov / Zborow formed in 1850 a municipality in the district chief city. Because of its mountainous location, agriculture was low yields, so that the residents in homeworking especially with the production of wood products earned some extra money. 1858 Zborov got its own school. In 1900, 391 people lived in the 75 houses of the village. 1930, Zborov 378 inhabitants, of which five German. After the Munich Agreement inhabited almost exclusively by Czech village in 1938 added to the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district chief city. 1939 Zborow 383 inhabitants. After the end of World War II Zborov came back to Czechoslovakia. Part of the inhabitants left the place and moved to the border areas around. In 1950, in the village of 278 people in 83 houses. After the dissolution of Okres Zábřeh Zborov came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Šumperk. In 1976, the school was closed. Between 1985 and 1991 the place was incorporated to Štíty. 1991 lived in Zborov 236 people, the town consisted of 54 houses. In 1992, the municipality Vyšehoří arose again, she leads a coat of arms and banners. Zborov is a ski resort on Háječek a ski lift is operated.
