Žďárná

Žďárná ( German Zdiarna, also Schdiarna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers east of Boskovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Žďárná is located at the headwaters of the creek Žďárná in Drahany country. The village is located - surrounded by forests - along with Suchy in a large clearing. To the north rises the Přibitá ( 682 m), in the northeast of Skalky ( 735 m) and Skály ( 723 m ) south of the Buci ( 653 m). To the north lies the medieval deserted village Jabloňsko, in the east the deserted village Hošperk, southeast of the deserted village Housko, in the south the waste places Gadišina and Loučka.

Neighboring towns are Suchy in the north, Buková and Protivanov in the northeast, Skelná Huť Obora, Repechy and Bousín in the east, U dvorku, Niva and Vysočany the southeast, Holštejn, Šošůvka and Sloupsko in the south, Ludíkov the southwest, Valchov in the west and Pod Borim, Boskovice, Hrádkov and Velenov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of belonging to the reign Boskovice place was in 1418 in connection with the Žďárnáer Rev. Martin. It is believed that the village is much older and was created during the colonization to the end of the 12th century. 1505 Žďárná was named as the property of Ladislav from Boskowitz. 1538 facilitated by Christoph Boskowitz the subjects in Ludíkov, Valchov, Velenov, Protivanov, Lipová and Žďárná the Fronlasten. 1547 sold the Boskovice the reign of Simon Eder of Sstiawnicz ( Šimon Eder ze Štiavnice ). 1569 acquired Jaroš Zástřizl of the goods by Veit Eder. When the Lords of Zástřizl were extinct in the male line, Susanne von Zástřizl sold the reign Boskowitz 1689 to Walther Graf von Dietrich stone. The first mention of the glassworks in the animal garden was made in 1743 in connection with the master glassmakers Johann Schiller. 1748 Lokalie Žďárná was elevated to a parish. According to church records created in the same year Žďárná had 314 inhabitants and in the creek in the valley of the Sloupský glass -making community lived 57 people. The glassworks already presented in 1762 to operate again. 1771 was Žďárná from 46 houses, the mill and the manorial court. Four years later, in the village were already 50 houses. After the abolition of serfdom in 1781, sat on the right bank of the creek Zdiarna an active construction a. Later Žďárná was extended to the Strážná to the southeast. Žďárná consisted in 1800 of 74 houses. After the inhabitants of Valchov the teacher of Žďárná denied school fees, was established in 1800 Valchov own school. In 1840 Žďárná had 743 inhabitants and consisted of 83 houses. 130 of the 147 families work at this time in agriculture. Until the mid-19th century Žďárná remained subservient always to Boskovice and was the seat of a prestigious judge.

After the abolition of patrimonial Žďárná formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. After the extinction of the house Dietrichsteinplatz the goods fell in 1864 to the Count Mensdorff -Pouilly. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the church bears the name Žďárná. In January 1961 Žďárná was assigned to the Okres Blansko. Since 1999 Žďárná led a coat of arms and banners.

  • Church of St. Bartholomew, the detectable since 1418 old church was demolished in the mid-18th century. Between 1759 and 1760 the present church was built under Leopold von Dietrich stone by the architect Franz Anton Grimm

  • Castle Žďárná, the 1758 built to 1759 building served as the headquarters of the Forestry Administration of the rule Boskovice. After the fire of 1839 it was reduced by one floor rebuilt. It is currently vacant and in a high state of disrepair. In 2002 there was a repair of the roof.
