Žernovník

Žernovník ( German Scherownik, also Zernownik ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-west of Blansko and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Žernovník is located at the foot of Drahany country in the Bosko brázda. The village is situated on a hilltop between the valleys of Býkovka and its tributary Litkov. East of the Ješetiny rise (424 m) and Bukovice (500 m), the South East Jedle ( 561 m), the southwest Skalky (452 m) and Jedůvka ( 483 m) and in the northwest the Loučky ( 468 m). Northeast of Žernovník are mounds of unfinished Reichsautobahn Vienna -Breslau. In the east, the route runs to the R 43 / E 461

Neighboring towns are Býkovice in the north, Bořitov and Cerna Hora in the northeast, Jestřebí and Spešov in the east, Lhotky, Dolni Lhota, Blansko and Závist the southeast, Malá Lhota in the south, Lubě the southwest, Bukovice in the west and Brťov - Jeneč and Dlouhá Lhota in northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1351 as the property of Vladiken of Jeneč. In 1375, among the goods Ulrich von Boskowitz which overwrote the income from Žernovník his wife. Subsequently, the owners changed frequently. Among them was in January of Lomnice, the 1389 sold a farm to Stach of Kokor. The following year, the wife of Vanek Černohorský of Boskowitz was named as the owner of a Share. Since that time Žernovník belonged to a pro-rata rule Cerna Hora. 1549 the entire village was connected to Cerna Hora. With the death of Jan Šembera Černohorský of Boskowitz the line died on April 30, 1597 in the male line. In the south-west to forests lived between the 15th and 17th century bushrangers who had their headquarters at Brlohy and the trade route from Brno to Bohemia, but also in Žernovník made ​​the connections to Lomnice and Tišnov uncertain. After the abolition of patrimonial Zerovnik formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. 1857 the village was umgefarrt by Cerna Hora. Since the end of the 19th century, the local name is used Žernovník. 1900 originated in Žernovník a one-class village school. In 1902, 224 people lived in the 37 houses of the village. The volunteer fire department was founded 1937. Between 1940 and 1942 were carried out at Žernovník work to build the kingdom highway Vienna -Breslau. Since 1948, the community is part of the Okres Blansko. Žernovník started in 2001 a coat of arms and banners.
