Bukovice (Brno-Country District)

Bukovice ( German Bukowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers northeast of Tišnov and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Bukovice located in the Sýkořská pahorkatina, a subunit of Nedvědička highlands in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The village is located on the left side of the creek Lubě on a hill. To the north extends the Lysicko Nature Park and west of the Nature Park Svratecká hornatina. To the west of the village Lubě is jammed in the pond Rybnik pod Myšníkem. In the North the Kravi hlava ( 566 m), northeast of the Na Vrších (506 m ) southwest of the Močický Kopec (515 m) and in the west the Velka hora ( 558 m).

Neighboring towns are Dlouhá Lhota and Brťov - Jeneč in the northeast, Žernovník in the east, Malá Lhota, Lubě and Hluboké Dvory the southeast, Unín and Rohozec in the south, Jamné and Šerkovice the southwest, Lomnice and Chrastová in the west and Rašov and Zhoř in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was in 1255, when the Vladike Vojtěch of Bukovice appeared as a witness in a charter of the monastery Fons Beatae Mariae Virginis. Originally supposed to be consisted of four courtyards Bukovice from which later developed by splitting the village. 1459 acquired the monastery Porta Coeli part of Bukovice. The other part of the village was connected to the 1549 rule Cerna Hora. In the course of a field exchange with the monastery acquired in 1749 the rule Lomnitz the monastic share. This division persisted until the mid- 19th century. In 1845 the north was the village of Cerna Hora to the road Lomnice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Bukovice formed in 1850 a municipality in the Brno District Commission and the jurisdiction Tischnowitz. During the war Germans proposed in June 1866, the main group of kk Army at Bukovice their camp and held before the march on Prague from a multi-day training missions. 1886 was inaugurated a community school for the villages Rohozec and Bukovice in Rohozec, previously Unín was school location. Since 1896, Bukovice belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. Between 1909 and 1912, the link road was built to Rohozec. The volunteer fire department was founded 1937. Towards the end of World War II occupied a department of the Wehrmacht from April 20 to May 7, 1945 during their retreat the village. 1946 left several families of the village and they moved into the border area after Tatenice. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov Bukovice came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Blansko. 1976 Bukovice was zwangseingemeindet together with Hluboké Dvory Unín and Zhoř after Rohozec. In 1990, the congregation arose again. At the Lubě the pond Rybnik pod Myšníkem was created in 1998. Since the beginning of 2007 Bukovice belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.
