Zhang Hao

Zhang Hao (Chinese张昊, Pinyin Zhang Hào; * July 6, 1984 in Harbin ) is a Chinese figure skater who starts in pair skating.

Zhang, who was born in Harbin, the center of Chinese figure skating sport, began at the age of six years with the figure skating. His first figure skating partner was Zhang Liyun. Since 1997, he stepped to the side of Zhang Dan for the skating club Harbin. Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao are not related. They were of Yao Bin, who was in 1980 the first Chinese participants at the World Championships in pair skating with partner Luan Bo, trained.

Unlike the other two successful Chinese couple Shen Xue / Zhao Hongbo and Pang Qing / Tong Jian Zhang / Zhang had great success already at junior level. At the Junior World Championships 2000 in Oberstdorf, the pair showed a fourfold throw Lutz, the first ever in this competition. 2001 and 2003 they were junior world champion. They were the first Chinese Junior World Champion in pair skating. In 2001 and 2002 she also won the Grand Prix final of the juniors.

2002 debuted Zhang / Zhang in the seniors. In her first Four Continents Championships, they won the bronze medal at once. At the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City they were Eleventh and at their first World Cup Ninth. 2003, they were Chinese champion in pair skating. They won again bronze medal at the Four Continents Championships and the World Cup could be improved by three places to sixth place. The year 2004 saw both championships at one place up. They won the silver medal at the Four Continents Championships and occupied the fifth place at the World Cup.

The final breakthrough came in 2005. Was not until they decided the Four Continents Championship for themselves, then they won bronze in Moscow with her ​​first World Cup medal. Zhang Dan finished their 2012 figure skating career. Zhang Hao found a new skating partner in Peng Cheng.
