Zhang Yawen

Zhang Yawen (Chinese:张亚雯; born March 9, 1983 in Chongqing) is a Chinese badminton player.

Sporting career

Zhang Yawen won the previous five medals at the Badminton World Championships. In 2005, she won bronze in women's doubles with Zhang Dan and silver in mixed doubles with Xie Zhongbo Lilyana Natsir and Nova behind Widianto from Indonesia. A year later she won the semi-finals of the women's doubles with Wei Yili against Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen, but lost in the final to their countrywomen Gao Ling and Huang Sui. 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, the semifinals was a terminus for Zhang Yawen both in women's doubles and the mixed doubles.

In the 2008 Olympics she was buried in the semifinals of the women's doubles gold their hopes again. With Wei Yili they were subject to the subsequent Olympic champions Du Jing and Yu Yang. In the match for bronze then won against Miyuki Maeda and Satoko Suetsuna from Japan.
