Zimbabwe national futsal team
The Zimbabwean national futsal is a representative selection of Zimbabwean futsal players. The team represents the Zimbabwean Football Association at international meetings. The team took part in the first 1989 Futsal World Cup under the auspices of FIFA, but has since been only sporadically in appearance.
Performance in tournaments
Zimbabwe in 1989, invited by FIFA to participate in the first Futsal World Cup in the Netherlands. In a group with Italy, the United States and Australia you finished the preliminary round after three defeats in last place in the standings. Until next international appearance of a Zimbabwean Futsal Teams lasted until 1996, when a team took part in the African Cup of Nations, which served as a qualification tournament for the World Cup at the same time. With two wins, one draw and one defeat you closed your group of five from third place and thus missed the qualification for the World Cup. In 2012, the team participated in A- international matches for the third time.
