Zocie

Zocie ( German Soczien, 1938-1945 Kechlersdorf ) is a scoring for community Kalinowo village in the northeastern Mazury in Polish Warmia and Mazury, powiat Ełcki.

The village is located ten kilometers north-east of the village Kalinowo ( German calligrapher Owen ) on an east outgoing at Zanie spur road leading from Kalinowo after Wierzbowo Highway 651 It lies directly on the border of Podlaskie Voivodeship.

History

The village was first mentioned in the spelling Socien 1493rd The place name is probably prussischer origin.

1656 were allied with Poland Tatars in Socien and provided strong destruction and the loss of a large part of the village population.

Around 1818, the spelling Sotzien prevails, the end of the 19th century Soczien.

May 27, 1874 District Wiersbowen in the district of Olsztyn was formed in the wake of a Prussian government reform new, which included the communities of Great Czymochen, Kiehlen, Millewen, Sanien, Soczien, Thurowen, Wiersbowen and Gutsbezirk Czymochen.
