Bedřichov (Blansko District)

Bedřichov ( German Friedrich field) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers south-west of Boskovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Bedřichov is located on a plateau in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The village is located in the headwaters of three mountain streams Bedřichovský, Lysický and Lhotecký creek. To the west rises the Láze ( 642 m) and in the south of Babylon ( 656 m).

Neighboring towns are Tasovice and Hluboké in the north, and Touboř Kunice in the northeast, Lhota u Lysic, Štěchov and Lačnov the southeast, Kunčina Ves and Kozárov in the south, Žleby in the southwest, and Osiky Brumov in the west and Černovice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Bedřichov took place in 1392nd

From 1850 to 1960 the village belonged to Okres Boskovice and came to the resolution to Okres Blansko.
