Beshankovichy Raion

The Rajon Beshankowitschy (White Russian Бешанковіцкі раён; Russian Бешенковичский район ) is an administrative unit in the Wizebskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the urban-type settlement Beschankowitschy. The Rajon has an area of 1,400 km ² and comprises 243 villages.

Geography

The Rajon Beschankowitschy located in the center of the Wizebskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone are in the north Shumilina, northeast Vitebsk, in the southeast Senna, in the southwest Tschaschniki, in the west Lepel and Uschatschy.

The Rajon Beschankowitschy was formed on 17 July 1924.
