Shumilina Raion

The Rajon Shumilina (White Russian Шумілінскі раён, Russian Шумилинский район ) is an administrative unit in the Wizebskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the urban-type settlement Shumilina. The Rajon has an area of 1,700 km ² and comprises 260 villages.

Geography

The Rajon Shumilina located in the center of the Wizebskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone are in the northeast Haradok, Vitebsk in the east, in the south Beschankowitschy, to the west and to the north Uschatschy Polotsk.

History

The Rajon Shumilina was formed on 17 July 1924.
