Ushachy Raion

The Rajon Uschatschy (White Russian Ушацкі раён; Russian Ушачский район ) is an administrative unit in the Wizebskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the urban-type settlement Uschatschy. The Rajons has an area of 1,500 km ² and comprises 260 villages.

Geography

The Rajon Uschatschy located in the southeast of the Wizebskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone are in the north of Polotsk, the Northeast Shumilina, in the east Beschankowitschy, in the southeast Lepel, in the south and west Dokschyzy Hlybokaje.

History

The Rajon Uschatschy was formed on 17 July 1924.
