Talachyn Raion

The Rajon Talatschyn (White Russian Талачынскі раён; Russian Толочинский район ) is an administrative unit in the south of Wizebskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the city Talatschyn. The Rajon has an area of 1,500 km ², comprises 273 villages and is divided into a Passawjet and 7 Selsawets.

Geography

The Rajon Talatschyn located in the southern part of the Wizebskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in Woblast Vitebsk are in the northwest Tschaschniki, in the north and in the west Senna Orsha.

History

The Rajon Talatschyn was formed on 17 July 1924.
