Bruck- Waasen is a municipality with 2289 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Upper Austria in the Gries district churches in Hausruckviertel. The municipality is located in the judicial district Peuerbach.

Geography

Bruck- Waasen is located on 377 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 7.5 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 8.6 km. The total area is 28.5 km ². 9.8% of the area is forested, 80.4 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Coat of arms

Official description of the municipality coat of arms: Shared; top in gold, a black, red bezungter, growing Capricorn, below in blue three silver, two to one Asked rings. The municipality colors are blue - white-green.

The coat of arms granted in 1988 combines the Ancestral Arms of two noble families who were once owner of the domain Bruck an der Aschach. Capricorn is the coat of arms of the Counts Strattmann, the three rings are from the arms of the father Haimer extinct in 1493.

History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. During the Napoleonic Wars, the place was occupied several times. Since 1918, the town belongs to the province of Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the town belonged to the " Upper Danube ". After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria.
