David L. Cornwell

David Lance Cornwell ( born June 14, 1945 in Paoli, Orange County, Indiana; † November 2, 2012 ) is an American politician. Between 1977 and 1979 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

David Cornwell attended the public schools of his home and then the Culver Military Academy. This is followed by a study at the Phillips Academy in Massachusetts joined. In 1964 he graduated from Park High School in Indianapolis. Between 1966 and 1968, Cornwell served in the U.S. Army. He was used in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he put his education at the American College of Monaco and to 1974 at Indiana University.

Politically, Cornwell joined the Democratic Party. In 1974, he sought unsuccessfully to have their Nomierung for the congressional elections. For the 1976 elections, he was then but in the eighth electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Philip H. Hayes on January 3, 1977. As he said Republicans H. Joel Deckard was defeated in 1978, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1979.

Since his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives David Cornwell worked in the field of national and international political cooperation.
