Henry B. Sayler

Henry Benton Sayler ( born March 31, 1836 Montgomery County, Ohio, † June 18, 1900 in Huntington, Indiana ) was an American politician. Between 1873 and 1875 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Henry Sayler was a cousin of Milton Sayler (1831-1892), who was sitting 1873-1879 for the state of Ohio in Congress. Even in his youth he was sent to the Clinton County in Indiana, where he attended the public schools. After a subsequent study of law and its made ​​in 1856 admitted to the bar he began in Eaton (Ohio ) to work in this profession. During the Civil War Sayler served in the army of the Union, in which he rose to the Major.

Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party.
