Coat of arms

The coat of arms was established in 1955 and confirmed by the Interior Ministry of Rhineland -Palatinate in 1957; it solved the old coat of arms of the county of Falkenstein from a heraldic symbol village. Nevertheless, the Falkensteiner history remained dominant in the new coat of arms. The right half of the shield shows the coat of arms of the county of Falkenstein, which left a pattern of standing diamonds, which is indecipherable, according to the official community website and was taken from an old court seal of the High - brawn. Apparently, it originally comes from the coat of arms of the Counts of Virneburg as former owners of Falkensteiner empire county. Both parts are crowned coat of arms of a main shield with grape vine, which refers to the wine-growing tradition of the place.
