Malé Zálužie

Malé Zálužie ( until 1948 slovak " Ujlaček "; Hungarian Újlacska ) is a municipality in Slovakia.

It is located about 18 kilometers northwest of the city of Nitra on the course of the river Radošianka in the western parts of the Nitrianska pahorkatina ( " Nitransky hill country ").

1390 the settlement was first mentioned in writing as Kys Wylak as belonging to the reign of the castle Topoltschan. Since then in 1550 the place was under the rule of the gender of Gici, 1600 and again in 1601 burned the place down. Man's dominion over, especially in the wine-growing working population went through in the 18th century on the gender of the justs and in the 19th century to the Prónais. Around 1750 it came to the establishment of Protestant Bohemia in the community, a second wave came in the early 20th century. Until 1918 the town was part of the Kingdom of Hungary, after which he came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia.

Until 1948 the town was called Slovak Ujlaček, due to the linguistic proximity of this designation to the Hungarian he got as well as many other places in the former Czechoslovakia, a Slavic -sounding names or Slavicized.
