Montaignac-Saint-Hippolyte

Montaignac -Saint -Hippolyte is a commune with 548 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Ventadour. The inhabitants call themselves Montaignacois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the upper reaches of the Doustre and is surrounded by vast forests and fields. Tulle, prefecture of the department is located about 20 kilometers southwest and Égletons about eight kilometers northeast Ussel and about 35 kilometers north-east.

Neighboring communities of Montaignac -Saint -Hippolyte are Rosiers- d'Égletons in the north, Chapelle- Spinasse in the Northeast, Saint- Hilaire- Foissac in the east, Le Jardin in the south, Champagnac la Noaille in the southwest and Eyrein in the West.
