Saint-Médard-en-Jalles

Saint- Médard -en- Jalles is a town in the French region of Aquitaine in the Gironde department with 28 348 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ). The city is located in the district of Bordeaux and is the capital (French: chef- lieu) of its own canton.

Location

Saint- Médard -en- Jalles is located northwest of Bordeaux and is crossed by the river Jalle. The community belongs to the community association Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux and is accessible by bus lines of the TBC.

Twinning

The town maintains twinning with Merzig in Saarland, Sabaudia in Lazio (Italy ) and Almansa in the autonomous community of Castile -La Mancha (Spain).
