Steven Stamkos

Steven Stamkos ( born February 7, 1990 in Unionville, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player Macedonian- Scottish descent. He currently plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League on the position of the center.

Career

Stamkos began his career with the Markham Waxers who played in the highest junior class of Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League. In the OHL Draft 2006, the Sarnia Sting selected him as a joint First, after which he joined the 2006/07 season with the team. DC in his rookie season, he was nominated for the OHL All-Star Game, where he obtained four points. In the championship, he scored 92 points in 63 games. He also played all 82 season games of his team with 95 points and was the best scorer of his team.

In the season 2010/11 Stamkos started splendidly, after 19 games, he had already scored 19 goals and 14 assists and led the scorers list in the NHL before Sidney Crosby.
