Weidenbach, Vulkaneifel
Willow Creek is a municipality in the district of volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Daun. In Weidenbach Moselle Franconian is spoken.
Geography
The municipality is located in the natural park Eifel and partly in the conservation area " between OVP and Kyll ".
To Weidenbach also includes the residential places Mirscheiderhof, Sonnenhof, Waldhof and meadow valley.
History
The first mention of the place under the name " Witenbuoch " there is a an instrument of the Emperor Henry II of 17 October 1016 in which he the Prüm Abt Urold possessions in Weidenbach ( " Witenbuoch " ), Stadtfeld ( " Stadefelt " ) and Ließem ( " Liudesheim " ) confirmed. The possessions were used for maintenance of the donated by Urold in 1016 Collegiate on Prüm.

Parish council
The local council in Weidenbach consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman. In the previous election period from 2004 to 2009 the council consisted of eight council members.
Coat of arms
The coat of arms description reads: "Under a red shield head, in a golden zigzag bar, in a decreased silver blue wave beams, covered by a willow tree with black trunk and green leaves ."

- The Catholic parish church of St. John the Baptist, a four-axle hall building from 1830
- Two Quereinhäuser from the 19th century ( On Horstert and in the hollow )
- One -way cross ( cross shaft ) from 1793
