Zahrádky (Česká Lípa District)

Zahrádky ( German Neugarten ) is a municipality of Okres Ceska Lipa in the Liberec Region in the north of the Czech Republic. It lies in the valley of the creek Robečský ( Robitzer Bach), about five kilometers south of Ceska Lipa ( Czech Lipa ).

Through the town performs the highway # 9 of Prague to the German border at Rumburk ( Rumburg ). Zahrádky has a station on the North Bohemian Transversal Lovosice - Ceska Lipa.

History

From the mid 19th century the village belonged to the district court or to the district Bohemian Bohemian Lipa Lipa.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Zahrádky Zahrádky ( Neugarten ), Borek ( Reger village) and Šváby (Schwaben ). Basic settlement units are Borek, Karasy ( Karsch ), Šváby and Zahrádky.

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Šváby and Zahrádky u České Lípy.

  • Nový Zámek ( Neuschloß ), Renaissance chateau with an English park significant ( destroyed by fire in 2003, at the time of reconstruction )
  • Chapel of St. Barbara, in place of the desert town of Munich ( tschech. Mnichov ), with the tomb of the Kaunitz family
  • Nature reserve Peklo (Hell reason, even Karbenschlucht ), a romantic rocky valley
  • Nature reserve Novozámecký rybnik (brain Sener Great Pond), one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the Czech Republic with the Novozámecká průrva (brain Sener swallowing), a 175 m long stone outflow channel
  • Mnichovská průrva ( Munich swallowing), another smaller " swallowing"
